Ali and I spent last weekend photographing Courtney and Chris's beautiful wedding at Mountain Springs Lodge in Leavenworth. It seems the lodge is becoming a popular destination for Seattle people who want to get out of the city. This is our second wedding at the lodge in as many weeks and there are a few things that really stand out. First, Mountain Springs Lodge does an amazing job!! The food is outstanding, the atmosphere is beautiful and relaxed. The fact that everyone gets to stay on site lends itself to a very relaxing and enjoyable weekend surrounded by family and friends. The weddings are well planned, thought out, run smoothly, and are all around lovely to attend. I think what really stood out most to me and Ali though is that both the weddings were so different even though they were in the same location. They had totally different looks and feels, it was two totally different atmospheres.....both beautiful and amazing.
Ali and I love Courtney and Chris. We also have the pleasure of knowing, and loving several other members of the family. As expected this was an event to remember with a rich quality and loving group of people. We had such an amazing time. We experienced several firsts last weekend. The Bride and Bridesmaids were ready and waiting on the Groom and Groomsmen. Pre-ceremony Jello shots, and the amazing tradition of ceremonial plate smashing. Everything about this wedding had a very vintage look and feel.......right down to the wedding dress that was worn by Courtney's Grandmother, and Mother before her. The bowtie on Chris's neck was made of material taken from the dress, and the two of them couldn't have looked more perfect together. The whole experience was AMAZING!!
Ali and I also photographed Courtney and Chris for their Engagement Session. If you haven't seen it, or if you would like to enjoy it again.....you can find it at: Courtney and Chris E-Session
